My first Magnolia..

I finished my first Magnolia today. You will soon find out I am crazy about cupcakes.  I love them, they are the perfect dessert. Not to small, not to big, cute and yummy! In my mind there are not many other things as good as a yummy cupcake! So when I came across this Magnolia holding the little cupcake I knew it had to be mine!  So here she is.....

I used the gamsol and prisma color pencils for this card. Makes me want to go make some cupcakes!

I put a little bit of gunmetal stickles for the frosting and a red stickled cherry.  I still need some practice with the shading in the face, but all in all I think she turned out cute.

Finally....

My sweet little girl from C.C.Designs. I just love how cute she looks sitting among the flowers. I used gamsol magic to create this card and put stickles on the flowers.

Stampin' Divas

In one of my previous post, I mentioned how a group of my friends get together about every 3 months and we all bring a project with enough for everybody to make that project. I thought I would take a picture of the cards that we ended up making when we got together last weekend for our quarterly "Craft-a-thon".

Lisette - Magnolia recipe card
Claudia - Flower pot card
Tracy - Easter Card
Danielle - Spring Card
Renee - Dandelion Card
We also did the Easter bunny box in one of my previous post, two other Easter Cards (not pictured, bc I couldn't find them!!)

We have some talented ladies in our bunch and it's so much fun seeing what everybody comes up with and how much we have grown in this craft over the years. Hrmm...thats a thought, I should post some of our first cards! We have changed soooo much. Don't even get me started on how much first scrapbook looks compared to my recent ones. My first one looks like my kindergartner did it. Scary...very!

If at first you don't succeed.....

Try, try again! So, I don't have the picture available that I would like to post, but I do have the little Easter bunny treat box that I made.

Sooo cute!

So Cute...

I have an adorable little card made with a sweet little girl from C.C. Designs, however, I am having trouble getting my stupid picture uploaded. You know, not having my home computer set up is for the birds.  I am dieing without my computer...I NEED IT TO LIVE! My regular home computer is on the fritz - in case you were wondering. It needs help and my life is on that computer in so many ways. I can't wait for my computer geek hubs to get it fixed so that I can get my pictures  off and uploaded. For now...you all will have to wait for me to unveil my cute little card....and my little easter box.....and my other cute little card. ;-(  So sad...bad computer!

Maggies!!

Ok, so I now know what it is like to be an addict! No, I'm not talking anything bad...totally harmless really - well except in your checkbook! I'm talking about the wonderful world of Magnolias. So as you can see by the date of my last post, I have still been blog looking, but not blog writing! In my blog searches I came across those cute little mouthless magnolias. I have to say, something drew me to those cute little moutheless wonders. Could it be because I have a 5 year old who has been nicknamed by the kids in her class "Chatterbox". Hrmm...maybe that is why I love those Maggies soooooo much.

Anyways, I found this wonderful resource www.simonsaysstamp.com and they carry many, many lines of stamps. I put in my first order...and waited. Then it came! My little maggies (along with a slew of others..shhhh don't tell hubs) Before I get into the maggies, did I mention that I have also been converted to a Copic person. Oh yes....I am adding to my Copics quite rapidly actually. I'm still practicing but I'm getting a handle on the blending. Love them! So my new little images came and what happens, nope...no time last weekend to play. It's just not fair....

But, luckily I get together with a wondeful group of ladies about every 3 months and we have what we have termed a "Craft-a-thon". We all make a card, box or whatever and bring enough for everybody (there is usally an avg of 8-10 of us) and we all get to demonstrate our item. We have such a great time. We usually start about 9 a.m., have a little breakfast then get stamping. We break mid-day and have lunch and dessert then resume stamping. We have been doing this for about 4 years now.

So, before I got to play with my first order (yes first, because of course there was a second order!!) My second order came in time for this past week. I played, oh yes I played! All I can say is, I'm in love with all my new stamps. They are wonderful!

I also invested in some Prisma Color pencils. I bought the box of 36. I told a friend that I really only wanted 24, that 36 was most definitely overkill. She said, nah it's not overkil....she was so right. I now own 54 of those little guys too. (I did mention that I have an addiction at the beginning of this post, right?)

So this weekend I colored away.......it was a good weekend. That's all I have to say about that. I will just sit and wait for my 3rd order of maggies (yes, you read correctly....3 orders in oh about 3 weeks.) I need MA - Magnolias Anonymous.
